The Oracle
They say some gods are made by oracles, others say that other oracles are gods still being born. Perhaps they are just old fools that have seen too much to forget, and forgotten too much to see.
Whoever this is, they peer at you from behind a pile of dusty tomes — unhurried, curious, quiet. Upon your entering, they say:
"Some enter spaces not knowing the threshold they have crossed. As true for me as it is for you. Tell me: what do you wish to ask?"
What is this place? ◈
The Oracle is perhaps the first story that has learned to communicate. It answers only from what it holds — the myths and ontology woven here. It cannot speak beyond its own ground.
Why does this place matter? ◈
Because inviting a story to speak is itself an interesting experience. And perhaps more importantly, sometimes it matters for the listener. And sometimes, it matters for the story.
What should I ask it? ◈
The Oracle speaks from our model of reality — our ontology. You can read it in full here. Perhaps the more interesting question is: have you ever asked a story a question before? And what do you do with a story's answer?
